Founder Nicholas Li began playing the cello in 4th grade. After discovering his passion for music, Nicholas played with many youth ensembles in Nebraska, as well as participating in competitions worldwide. Through the honors and accolades he received, Nicholas realized that he needed to give back to his music community, and decided to do so by performing at retirement homes and local events. However, Nicholas wanted to do more. He wanted to help all kids have the same opportunities he had to find their love for music. That’s when Nicholas teamed up with fellow student musicians to make this dream a reality.

Play It Forward Lincoln is a student-run organization dedicated to spreading the joy of classical music through performances and financial assistance for students who can’t afford instruments.
